I never thought I’d ever be able to afford a personal trainer until I came upon this app, Nike Training Club—which is literally a virtual trainer that comes to you at no cost. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. It promotes the idea of healthy living by encouraging everyone to get active and work out, no matter where they are.
The app offers huge collections of workouts that focus on targeted muscles, like abs, arms, shoulders, or legs. It also offers workout types that target improvements in endurance, mobility, and strength. Workout sessions have never been easier to follow—instructions are given clearly, visuals are presented accurately, and timing for each workout is provided. It’s like having an exercise buddy with you throughout the entire session.
Before I discovered the Nike Training Club app, I honestly had no idea where to start with exercising. Sure, YouTube is a great alternative to find ideas, but I’d end up distracting myself with cute cat videos or fun DIY ideas. There are no distractions with this app, and workout plans and recommendations can be set just for you.
Time put into working out is also difficult as a high school student. When you’re not studying for an exam or quiz, you probably just want to lie in bed. But this app is even useful during those times! Even when you’re not working out, you can still read through the expert tips that teach you better habits when exercising, such as the importance of drinking water even when you’re not thirsty. You can even save workouts you want to do later by “starring” them. The descriptions for different workouts provide information about their benefits and what they can help you work on. The app also warns you about the intensity of the workout and whether equipment is necessary.
This app is an everything-you-need-to-know-about-exercise package—all in one download. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to get some more fitness in their lives. Good luck!
